We are sad to announce that on April 8, 2025, at the age of 91, Sarah Joyce McGowan of Calhoun, Georgia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, C. B. Daniel and Lottie Daniel; her husband Thomas L. McGowan; and her brothers, James Daniel and Steve Daniel.
She is survived by: her sons, Roger McGowan (Debra) and Timothy McGowan; her sisters, Francis Daniel Calhoun and Laverne Daniel Williams; and her grandchildren, Seth McGowan (Amanda), Cassie Hughes (Michael), Cara Milmiester (Justin), Rhett McGowan (Fushae) and Connor McGowan. She is also survived by 15 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation was held on Sunday, April 13th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home (711 College St, Calhoun, GA 30701). A funeral service was held on Sunday, April 13th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
