We bid farewell to Lucille Cornwell Glass of Calhoun, Georgia, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on April 26, 2025 at the age of 98. Lucille Cornwell touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, George Cornwell and Maybelle Higdon Cornwell; her husband Rev. J. E. Glass; her daughter-in-law Freda Glass; her siblings, Henry Walter Cornwell, George Franklin Cornwell, Audrey Mae Cornwell, Thelma Jewel Glass, Georgia Cornwell, Helen Dunaway and Anita Marie Cornwell; her grandsons, Kenneth Bennett and Dennis Glass; and her brothers-in-law, Tommy Glass, Walt Dunaway and Willard Busby.
She is survived by: her children, David Glass (Tammy), Elvin Glass, Betty Bennett (Alan) and Judy Patterson (Mitchell); her sister Carrie Lannette Busby; her sisters-in-law, Evelyn Cornwell and Shirley Cornwell; and her grandchildren, Jonathan Bennett (Stacey), Stephanie Bartlett (Brian), Angie Bennett, Sarah Dobson (Derreck), Brandon Glass (Brittney), Wayne Patterson (Lori), Daniel Patterson and Colton Glass. She is also survived by 17 great-grandchildren; and 4 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 29th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Canaanland Baptist Church (4102 Nicklesville Rd NE, Resaca, GA 30735). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 29th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
