He was predeceased by: his father Leon Colson Sr.; and his daughter Telitha Johns. He is survived by: his wife Charlotte Evans Colson of Virginia; his children, Timothy Gowens (Susan) of Calhoun, Tina Lau (Matt) of Ringgold and Tammy Thomas (Tommy) of Calhoun; and his sister Linda Leach (Robert) of Albany. He is also survived by fourteen grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
