Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Laverne Andrea Barnett of Calhoun, Georgia, born in Camden, New Jersey, who passed away at the age of 61, on January 16, 2024. She was predeceased by: her parents, James Watkins and Selma Bagwell Watkins; her siblings, Elaine Watkins, Vondalere Watkins and Avery Watkins, Sr.; and her grandchild Ziah.

She is survived by: her husband Vernon Barnett; her children, Zemira Barnett, Nevin Barnett (Karene) and Petrina Naylor (Steven); her grandchildren, Peyton, Paige, Paxton, Ethan, Zuri, Sela and Zakai; her siblings, Joyce Bagwell (Ernie Johnson), Kenny Watkins (Lorene) and Lionel Watkins (Marcia); and her nieces and nephews, Zsakeba Henderson (Johnathan) and Avery Watkins, Jr. (Rachel). She is also survived by other nieces, nephews, cousin, other relatives, and friends.
