She was predeceased by: her parents, Arthur J. Hurst and Laverne Gates Hurst; her brother Arthur "Sonny" Hurst; and her daughter-in-law Tracey Lynn Whaley. She is survived by: her husband Gary Lee Whaley of Calhoun, GA; her son Alan Whaley (Penny) of Adairsville, GA; her grandson Alex Whaley of Calhoun, GA; her sisters, Dimple Hill of South Carolina, Carolyn Moulder of Pascagoula, MS and Patsy Scholtz of Pensacola, FL; and her siblings-in-law, Jerry Whaley of Ohatchee, AL, Wesley Whaley of Phoenix, AZ and Doris Jean Phillip of Talladega, AL. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
