He was predeceased by: his parents, John Andrew and Maude Sitton Thompson; his wife Emily Elizabeth Campbell Thompson; his daughter Nancy Elizabeth Paris; and his grandson Brian Goss.
He is survived by: his children, Peggy Thompson Goss (Larry) of Beaver Creek and Johnnie Mack Thompson Jr. of Calhoun, Georgia; his grandchildren, Jamie Fisher (Dustin), Corey Goss (Suzanna), Jonathan Thompson (Misty), Tanna Johnson (Jacob) and Noah Paris (Zelda); and his sister-in-law Christine Wallace. He is also survived by 11 great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and special friends.
