It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jimmy L. McDonald of Calhoun, Georgia, born in Gordon, Georgia, who passed away on February 25, 2023, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Arthur McDonald and Miss Ruby Jo Ray; his parents-in-law, Ross Carpenter and Etta Lee Carpenter; and his brother-in-law Jimmy Carpenter (Beverly).
He is survived by: his wife Karen Carpenter McDonald; his daughter Tonya McDonald of Calhoun; his sister-in-law Marsha Leonard of Hiawassee; his nephew Blain Carpenter of Lindale; and his cousin Marie Taylor of Calhoun. He is also survived by relatives include nieces, nephews, and cousins as well as numerous friends and family.
