He is survived by: his mother Diane Carter; his daughter Nicole Nelson; his son-in-law Justin Nelson; his son Jimmy Dale Carter III; his brother Cecil Carter; his sister-in-law Angela Carter; and his grandchildren, Jacob Elijah Nelson and James Rollin Nelson.
