It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Russell Scott Jr. of Calhoun, Georgia, who passed away on June 4, 2020, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, James Russell Scott, Sr. and Alene Evelyn Smith Scott; his sons, Steven D. Scott and Roger K. Scott; and his brothers, David Scott and Rondal Scott.

He is survived by: his wife Nancy Franklin Scott of Calhoun; his children, Paul Simpson of Canada, Dannett Simpson-Mays of Virginia and Denise McKenna; and his siblings, Robert Scott, Wayne Scott and Russella Scott Dobson. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
