He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Johnson Maddox, Jr. and Rosemary Grant Maddox. He is survived by: his wife Harriet Holder Maddox; his sons, James Grant "Jim" Maddox Jr., Keith Maddox and Clay Maddox (Anna); his sisters, Jane Blake (Bryant) and Marjorie Adams (Paul); his brother-in-law Metz Holder (Mary Grace); and his grandsons, Henry Maddox, Dylan Maddox and Nolan Maddox. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
