It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Edward Lewis of Calhoun, Georgia, born in Gordon, Georgia, who passed away on January 15, 2023, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his father John A. Lewis, Sr.; his siblings, John A. Lewis, Jr., Frank O. Lewis and Sue Lewis West; and his nephew Gregory F. West.
He is survived by: his wife Jean Bone Lewis; his children, Susan Jane Lewis Finck (John) of Woodstock and James Edward Lewis, Jr. (Jim); his grandchildren, Sarah Jean Finck, William Matthew Finck, James Edward Lewis, III (Trey) and Taylor Sydney Lewis; his nieces and nephews, John Edward Lewis, John Franklin Lewis, Lyle Nathan West, Dr. Shawn West and Clare Harlan Lewis; and his sister-in-law Joann Lewis. He is also survived by several great nephews, great nieces and cousins.
