He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard Clinton Sr. and Bertha Rachel Lanham; his wife Martha Sue Flanagan Lanham; his son Joseph Shawn Lanham; his brothers, Euland Bray (Frances), Ralph Bray (Linda) and Daniel Bray; and his grandchildren, Brooklynn Rose and Eli Joseph.
He is survived by: his children, Howard C. Lanham III, Cassie Folds, Tammy Hill and Nancy Lanham; his siblings, Ollie Mae Gravely, Edman Lanham (Joyce), Charles Bray (Barbara) and Joe Lanham (Sandra); his grandchildren, Shanna Allen, Mason Hill, Joshua Newport, Joseph Leatherwood, Martha Mantooth and Garrett Lanham; and his great grandchildren, Paxton Tyler, Preston James, Adaleigh Lashae, Harper Grace, Jackson Lee, Brayden Cash, Willow and Matthew. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
