He was predeceased by: his father James "M. C." Sexton; and his siblings, B. W. Sexton, L. V. Sexton, Max Sexton, Dimple Rogers, Opal Wable, Virginia Burch and Jewel Kiser.
He is survived by: his wife Shelba Jean Sexton; his children, Doug Sexton (Lisa), Donnie Sexton (Denese), Daryl Sexton (Leslie) and Pam Abernathy (Bryan); his grandchildren, Brittany, Ashley, Natalie, Dayne, Bo, Carla, Dena, Jax, Maggy, Tori and Katie; his sister-in-law Rev. Norris Sexton (Wilma); and his caregiver Judy Hall. He is also survived by thirteen great-grandchildren; brother.
