He was predeceased by: his parents, Harley Charles and Ollie Charles (Craig); his siblings, Elford Charles, Murrell Bowen, Lanelle Silvers, Mary Lou Arnold, Betty Burns and Marvin Charles; his children, Waymond Charles, Herbert Ray Charles and Barbara Waters; and his granddaughter Zoey Charles.
He is survived by: his children, Jeff Craig, Ralph Charles (Dawn), Kathy Baggett (David), Lee Charles (April), Vanessa Wade, Fred Charles, Chris Charles (Jessica) and Ashley Harcrow (Jesse); and his siblings, Jerry Charles and Shirley Swafford (Jimmy). He is also survived by 27 grandchildren, a host of great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
