She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Alexander Dale and Nollie Lou Jones Dale; her husbands, Joel C. Massingill and Larry L. Barnette; her children, Danny Joe Massingill and Sarah Louise Massingill; and her siblings, Harold F. Dale, Sr., Monroe Dale, Bonnie Keeler, Kathleen Phillips and David Dale.
She is survived by: her children, Johnny C. Massingill (Pamela), Rosedale and Matthew C. Massingill (Alma); her stepchildren, Greg Barnette, Melody Chastain (Victor) and Shane Barnette (Lori); her siblings, Wanda Baker (Herman), Shirley Hawkins Eaton and James Dale (Lucy); her grandchildren, Allison Massingill, Scarlett Everett (Justin), Daniel Massingill (Ashley), Billy Massingill (Lisa) and Christopher Massingill; and her stepgrandchildren, Kyle Barnette, Alysa Stanley, Autumn Silvers (Cody), Tamara Barnette, Jacob Chastain, Kassey House and Kayla Chastain. She is also survived by several great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
