Glenn Carden Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Glenn Carden of Calhoun, Georgia, born in Gordon, Georgia, who passed away on September 26, 2020 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Annes McKinney and Eula Nichols Carden; his wife Ann Elzey Carden; his parents-in-law, Ivan and Equilla Elzey; his brother Herbert; his sister-in-law Shirley Carden; his sister Evelyn; and his brothers-in-law, J. B. Garren and James Elzey.
He is survived by: his children, Lisa Carden Butterworth (Terry) and Brian Glenn Carden (Stephanie); his grandsons, Kyle Butterworth of Raleigh, NC, Connor Butterworth of Athens, GA, Lawson Carden of Zapata, TX, Jarrett, Laine and Jhett Carden of Calhoun; his sisters, Jean Hawkins (Helton) and June Bearden; and his brothers-in-law, Amos Elzey (Mae) of Cleveland, GA, Dean Elzey (Velma), Donald Elzey (Sharon), Jerry Elzey (Nell) of Cumming, GA and Bruce Elzey of Spring Hill, FL. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many good friends.
Glenn will lie in state from 12:30 p. m. until the service at 2:00 p. m. for anyone who wishes to come by, but due to the COVID-19 pandemic, there can be no formal visitation.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be given to Gideon's International, % Gordon County Camp, P.O. Box 1254, Calhoun, GA 30703 in Glenn's memory.
