He was predeceased by: his parents, Luther Henson and Eva Henson; his wife Joy E. Hale Henson; his daughter Amanda Henson Davenport; his grandson Colby Davenport; and his sister Willene Henson Edwards.
He is survived by: his children, Patricia E. Smith, Gary Phillip Henson Jr. (Verneva), Shane Henson (Lisa) and Nancy Henson Epperson (John); his son-in-law Tracy Davenport; his grandchildren, Jonathan Smith (Hanna), Jarrod Smith (Jessica), Seth Ronk, Brise Henson (Ansley), Bella Henson, Eric Epperson (Lauren), Kelly Brooke Palacios (Anthony Rajczak), Chloe Palacios, Mackenzie Henson, Kodi Henson, Rae Smith, Ava Smith, Jemma Kate Smith, Brooks Epperson, Avery Epperson and Gage Palacios; his sister Gail McStotts; and his stepchildren, Tina Fowler and Jason Fowler. He is also survived by step-grandchildren; and step-great-grandchildren.
