She was predeceased by: her husband Clayton Smith; and her daughter Essie Martin Gowens. She is survived by: her siblings, Rachel Nicholson, Herman and Dewey Gowens; her children, Wanda Tumlin (Tony), Janice Walraven (James) and Wayne Smith; and her grandchildren, Christie McDougal, Joshua Smith, Casey Tumlin, Jacob Walraven and Joshua Walravenand Patrick McGuire. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
