We are sad to announce that on August 4, 2023, at the age of 86, Ernest Joe Gentry Sr. of Calhoun, Georgia, born in Gordon, Georgia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his siblings, Charles Gentry, Kent Gentry and Nancy Gentry; his parents-in-law, L. D. McClure Hall and Jean Hall; and his siblings-in-law, Shirley Gentry, Netty Hall Brannon, Charlotte Hall, Randolph Hall, Wyman Hall and Vernon Carder.
He is survived by: his wife Sylvia Hall Gentry; his sons, Ernest Joe "Joey" Gentry Jr. and Jason Gentry; his siblings, Eddie Gentry (Anne), David Gentry (Juanita), Dwight Gentry (Susan), Mary Carder and Roxanne Kirkland; his granddaughter Khadijah Wright; and his siblings-in-law, Fred Brannon and Anita Hall. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
