He was predeceased by: his father Earnest Elkins. He is survived by: his wife Paula Elkins; his daughter Stefanie Elkins; his son-in-law Robert Bates; his sister Jackie Johnson; his brother-in-law Richard; his brother Larry Elkins; his sisters-in-law, Mona, Judy and Yolanda; and his nieces and nephews, Rick, Randall, Jennifer, Justin, Adrienne, Hilary and Jonathon.
