We are sad to announce that on September 4, 2024, at the age of 89, Dorothy Lee Rich Thomas of Calhoun, Georgia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As Dorothy departs from our midst, her spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Dorothy. Though Dorothy may no longer walk beside us, her legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
She was predeceased by: her mother Ethel Rich of Calhoun; her husband Grethel Montgomery Thomas; her parent Jesse Rich; her brother Billy Rich; and her nieces, Kay Rich Tatum and Renee Rich Henry.
She is survived by: her daughter Greta Thomas Hughes; her granddaughter Catelyn Rae Hughes; and her sister-in-law Marguerite Rich. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins and a whole bunch of special friends.
In lieu of flowers donations in memory of Dot may be made to the Marsha McDaniel Memorial Fund or to Trinity Baptist Church: Children's and Youth's Ministry.
