He was predeceased by: his parents, H. J. Darnell and Gladys I. Darnell. He is survived by: his wife Mary Jackson Darnell; his children, Beth Darnell Hughes (Jon), Donna Darnell Chapman (Sam) and Drew Darnell (Vanessa); and his grandchildren, Marybeth Chapman, Hoyt Darnell, Hayden Darnell, Hunter Darnell, John Chapman, Addie Beth Hughes, Evelyn Chapman and Harry Darnell.
