She was predeceased by: her parents, Harvey Hullender and Annie Johnson Hullender; her husband William "Bill" Carter; her children, Winston George Hackney and Betty Ann Hackney; and her siblings, John Hullender, Harlen Hullender, Charles Hullender, Reba Pritchett, Barbara Bagley and Virginia Jo Green.
She is survived by: her daughter Katherine S. Hill of Calhoun, GA; and her sister Dimple Ann Lewis of Hixson, TN. She is also survived by several grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
