It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Carolyn Lavon Bennett of Calhoun, Georgia, who passed away on September 9, 2020, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Carlton Hunter and Edna Louise Carter Hunter; her husband Trammell Delane Bennett; her daughter Kristie Slaughter; and her brother Ronnie Hunter.
She is survived by: her daughters, Tamara Wells (Jay) of Calhoun, GA, Karen Lynn Slaughter of Calhoun, GA, Pam Tanner of Attalla, AL and Leslie Hunt of Floyd County, GA; her siblings, Dwight Hunter, Johnny Hunter, Robert Hunter, Shirley Powell (Ricky), Rachel Hunter and Elaine Wyman; her grandchildren, Brittany Slaughter, Erin Tanner, Buddy Phillips, Allison Tanner, Ashley Henson, Kaylea Henson and Jacklyn Henson; her great grandchildren, Taliyah Watkins, Jakaidyn Watkins, Acie, Janiyla, Brooklyne, Alijah Usher, Reidance Phillips, Kedric Johnson, Jr., Aurianah Harris, Gabriella Moore, Addlynne Hughley, Zoey Higginbottom, Zaryiah Tanner, Zalaysia Tanner and Zakeely Tanner; and also Lydia "Jenny" Fuller.
