She was predeceased by: her parents, Loyd Whitfield and Nellie Bearden Whitfield; her son Randy; and her brother Rev. Leroy Whitfield. She is survived by: her husband Raymond Ross; her son Chan Ross; her grandchildren, Meredith Johnson (Swayze) and Thomas Ross; her great grandchild Etta Grey Johnson; her nieces, Greta Vandyke and Teresa Gallman; her sisters-in-law, Ann Whitfield, Wilma Hale (F. A.), Martha Thomas, Rachael Copeland, Mary Lacy and Wynonna Ross; and her pet Sassi.
