He is survived by: his wife Pamela Bramblett Caplinger; his daughters, Jessica Caplinger Hedges of Resaca and Amanda Caplinger Cochran of Resaca; his sisters, Ginger Hogue (Leonard) of Resaca and Bobbie Jo Long of Chatsworth; his grandchildren, Hannah Cochran, Tyler Hedges, Kacee Cochran and Kaydance Cochran; his aunt Jane Benson; and his uncle Kenny Stevens.
