She was predeceased by: her parents, O. D. Altizer and Mae Altizer. She is survived by: her husband Wally Hasselbrack; her daughter Jeni; her son-in-law Carlyle Ingersoll; and her sisters, Glenna Little and Sue Stimmel.
Throughout her career, Carol made significant contributions to healthcare administration, serving as a vice president of nursing at several different hospitals.
