He is survived by: his wife Dianne Holmes Melton; his sons, Mark Melton (Patricia), Shane Melton (Kathy) and Matthew Melton; his grandchildren, Larin Melton, Aubrianna Melton, Sam Melton, Joseph Martin and Brandy Kinsey; his pet Cutie Pie; his sister Francis George; his brother-in-law Buck Woody; and his sons, Rev. Denny Gentry and Rev. David New.
