It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jimmy Richmond Barber of Cairo, Georgia, born in Doerun, Georgia, who passed away on March 26, 2024, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Ervin R. Barber and Rosa Lee Baker; and his brother Sammy Watson. He is survived by: his wife Betsy Barber; his children, Tonya Thompson (Cecil) of Lake Mary, FL., Jim Barber Jr. (Nicholas Johnston) of Wilton Manors, FL. and Jac Barber Jr. (Kelly) of Ochlocknee; his stepchildren, Bobby Smallwood of Cairo, Malone Harrell of Cairo and Anne Stadler (Chris) of Roswell; and his brother Tommy Baker of Coolidge. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
The family kindly requests that donations be made to Big Bend Hospice of Tallahassee.
