She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Louis Sewell and Maggie Dormany Sewell; her husband Wallace Lamar Adkins; her son Bruce Lamar Adkins; her siblings, Calvin Sewell, Laura Mae Alcorn, J. L. Sewell, George Sewell, Ruth Lupo and Rosalee Bair; and her half-brother Henry Sewell.
She is survived by: her children, Thomas Sewell (Melinda) and Ann Brown (Jimmy); her grandchildren, Thomas Sewell, Jr. (Mary Jo), Tracy Knoch (Pete), Heather Barber (Skip) and Terry Widener (Heather); her half-brother Herman Sewell; her sister-in-law Alice Sewell; her daughter-in-law Frankie Sue Adkins; and her friend Doris Dixon of Cochran. She is also survived by numerous great grandchildren and great great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, December 30th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church (1697 GA-126, Cadwell, GA 31009). A funeral service was held on Monday, December 30th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A committal service was held on Monday, December 30th 2024 at 2:30 PM at the Pleasant Olive Cemetery (4341 Empire-Chester Hwy, Chester, GA 31012).
