He was predeceased by: his parents, Johnnie Davis and Addie Mae Hightower Davis; and his siblings, Myrtis Rozier, James Davis, Daphne Harris, Ulysses Davis, Ruby Holloway and Ellean Wright.
He is survived by: his niece Annie Wright Reese; his wife Patricia Davis; his children, Angela Davis of Dexter, Timothy "Charles" Showers of Dudley, Carlos Davis of Dublin and Terangelo Davis (Takneeshea) of Willis, Texas; his sisters, Johnnie Godbold of Syracuse, Doris Howell of Jamaica and Shirley Perry (Robert Earl) of Dublin, Georgia; and his siblings-in-law, Susie Hardy (Spencer) of Detroit, Jean Davis of Dublin and Freddie Showers (Lynn) of Atlanta, Georgia. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other family and friends.
