She was predeceased by: her parents, Emory Whittle and Gussie Walters Whittle; her husband H. V. "Buddy" Smith, Jr.; and her brothers, Wesley Whittle, Mason Whittle and Benny Whittle.
She is survived by: her children, Val Smith (Gail) of Cadwell, Wanda Smith of Warner Robins, Phillis Simpson (Jay) of Gray and Pattii Rowe (Dan) of Cadwell; her siblings, Dale Whittle of Dublin, Bill Whittle of Chester, Danny Whittle of Dexter, Kay Holland of Dexter, Sue Wicker of Perry and Diane Lucas of Danville; her sisters-in-law, June H. Whittle and June W. Whittle; her grandchildren, Erinn Rowe (Paul), Stephen Simpson, Danielle Cannington and Roscoe Rowe (Katie); and her great grandchildren, Madisyn Cannington, Makenna Cannington, Emma Heron, Everly Heron and Gracynn Rowe.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made in memory of Mrs. Smith to Agape Hospice at 1111 Hillcrest Parkway, Dublin, GA 31021.
