It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Willie J. Pate (Byron, Georgia), who passed away on November 2, 2018, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his son Michael; and his grandsons, Michael Pate and Patrick Cohen. He is survived by: his wife Joan Pate of Byron; his children, Randy Pate (Jean), Clara Canady, Kathy Oglesby (Jim), Lewis Pate, Robert Pate (Jerredean), Russell Pate (Rachel) and Jennifer Murphy (David); and his siblings, Mary Vines (Bruce), Georgia Grimsley (Ray), Margie Haney (Mike), Arley, Neal and Ralph. He is also survived by 21 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.
