He was predeceased by: his parents, R. E. Dunbar and Mary Dunbar; and his parents-in-law, Robert and Mary King. He is survived by: his wife Barbara Dunbar; his children, Debbie Whyte (Peter), Diana Woodham (Jim) and Robert E. Dunbar (Robbie); his grandchildren, Laura Whyte (Ryan Rose), Ryan Woodham (Emma), Drew Woodham (Quincy Haisley) and Cara Dunbar Grantham (Logan); his great grandchild Mary Mae Grantham; and his sisters, Sue Kinsaul, Aileen Colquitt and Elizabeth Holleman. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
The family will accept flowers or donations may be given in memory of Robert Edgar (Ed) Dunbar, III, to Georgia Sheriffs' Youth Home, 1000 Sheriffs Way, Madison, Georgia 30650.
