He was predeceased by: his father Dale William Dawson. He is survived by: his wife Phyllis Dawson; his children, Daniel Dawson, David Dawson and Christy Dawson; his stepchildren, Kevin Saunders and Melissa Spires; and his siblings, Teresa Wright, Denise Spearman and James Dawson (Robin).
