Mattie Grace Dickerson, 71, of Byron, GA passed away on Thursday, October 5, 2023, at home surrounded by her family. Mattie was born on January 13, 1952 in Quitman, GA to Aaron and Margaret Spell. She enjoyed cooking for her family and watching old western movies. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Ronnie Earl Dickerson, brothers, Aaron Spell, Ed Buster Spell, Sam Spell, Jim Spell; sisters, Hilda Rich Murphy, Sue Phillips, Doris Long, son in law, Robert Smith.
She is survived by her three daughters, Jennifer Price of Byron, GA, Alesha Ross and husband Mike of Macon, GA, Tonya Smith of Warner Robins, GA; son, Ronald Dickerson of Warner Robins, GA; brother, William Spell and wife Brenda of Lake Park, GA; 5 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family.
A Funeral Ceremony will be held at 3:00 pm, Tuesday, October 10, 2023, at Music Funeral Services - Valdosta with burial to follow in Friendship Cemetery. The family will receive friends from one hour prior to the service on October 10, 2023 at the funeral home.
