With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Mary Peavy of Byron, Georgia, born in Shady Dale, Georgia, who passed away on December 14, 2022 at the age of 85. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Mary Peavy to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her father O. H. Banks; her sisters, Nancy Kelly, Clydie Jordan and Sunny Lane; the father of her children Hal Peavy Jr.; and her sister-in-law Betsy Murdock.
She is survived by: her children, Nancy Peavy Terry (Mike), Sally Peavy Garrett (Mark), Marie Peavy Simar and Wright Peavy (Suzanne); her grandchildren, Sutton Garrett, Sara Kate Garrett, Austin Simar, Hunter Marie Simar, Greer Peavy Davis (Austin), Julia Peavy Jenkins (Nick) and Olivia Peavy; her great grandchildren, Brayden Davis, Maverick Davis and Ellie Greer Davis; and her brother-in-law Robert "Bob" Murdock. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
