She was predeceased by: her husband T. E. Townsend; her son Charles Townsend (Doc); her brothers, Frank Fletcher Jr. (Junior), James Fletcher (Red), Charles Fletcher (Charlie) and John David Fletcher; and her parents, Frank Fletcher Sr. and Thelma Blount Fletcher.
She is survived by: her children, Mary Townsend and Walt Townsend (Lara); her grandchildren, Charles Townsend (Charlie) and Coleen Townsend Meek (Chandler); and her daughter-in-law Angie Townsend.
