He was predeceased by: his parents, Irvin Walter Thames and Tina Jackson Thames Green; his stepfather William E. "Ed" Green Jr.; and his brothers, Irvin "Tim" Thames and William E. "Bill" Green III.
He is survived by: his wife Karen Tyler Thames; his daughter Tiffany Thames Bechtel (Randy); his grandchildren, Emily, Grayce and Andrew; his aunt Louise Jackson Wright; his nephew Bucky Green; and his niece Nikki Green Taylor. He is also survived by numerous cousins; and his dog.
