He is survived by: his wife Ester Yaughn; his children, Michelle Hobby (Somer) and Michael Hobby (Lauren); his granddaughter Alayna Brooke Skipper (Andrew); his great grandchildren, Chloe Skipper, Erin Skipper and Cullen Skipper; his siblings, Jody R. Hobby (Debra) and Shirley Higgins (Keith); and his pet Oliver.
