It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Janette Byers of Byron, Georgia, born in Douglas, Georgia, who passed away on March 3, 2024, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, James Tillman Rushing and Ruby Clontz Rushing; her husband Charles Phillip Byers; her son Tony Sweat; and her grandson Chris Lewis.
She is survived by: her children, Lynn Aultman (Kevin), Angie Heberlig (Gary), Kathy Welch (Johnny) and Cindy Grinsted (Gary); her grandchildren, Joel Lewis (Kelli), Brandon Lewis (Tiffany), Brittany Taylor (Josh), Alicia Grinsted, Blane Grinsted (Rachel), Matt Lewis, Joel Aultman, Jacob Aultman, Faith Morgan Hall, Dylan Hall, Mark Heberlig and Lacy Heberlig; and her friend Rosemary Joiner. She is also survived by 15 great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
