He was predeceased by: his parents, James Alvin Swindle and Pearlie Pauline Taylor Swindle; and his wife Juanita Elizabeth Preston Swindle. He is survived by: his children, Cindy Arleen Howard (Buddy Johnson), James Barry Swindle (Elizabeth), Lesley Bart Swindle (Priscilla), Phoebe Allison Welch (Paul Nipper) and Steve Preston Swindle (Katrina); his sisters, Vonice Stewart (Bobby) and Sherry Aycock; and his caregiver Nickie Brooks. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; 15 great great grandchildren; 3 great great great grandchildren.
