He was predeceased by: his parents, Woodford Grady Jones and Annie Pearl Moody Jones; his daughter Carol Ann Mann; and his grandchildren, Scott Wayne Underhill, Crystal Baldwin and Andy Nicholson.
He is survived by: his wife Obie White Jones; his children, Frederick Lamar "Ricky" Jones (Shirley) of Jones County, Margaret Evelyn "Peggy" Rigby (Bryan) of Byron, Wanda Dawn Nicholson (Timothy) of Macon and Michael Wayne Jones of Byron; and his son-in-law Eddie Mann of Byron. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren.
