He was predeceased by: his daughter Bridgette Barkley; his parents, Richard D. Barkley Jr. and Martha Jean Taunton Barkley; and his siblings, Pistol Barkley and Winnie Morrell.
He is survived by: his girlfriend Vicki Dupre; his grandchildren, Heaven Melton, Benjamin Melton and Damien Holloway; his great grandchild Lenox Braxton-Horde; his sister Patricia Carter; his nieces and nephews, Kaitlyn Hudgins (Jason), Richard Barkley (Megan), Reggie L. Carter, Ricky L. Carter (Andria) and Mark Morrell; his great-nieces and great-nephews, Harper Hudgins, Miller Hudgins, Jack Barkley, Cierra J. Carter, Case Carter and Colin D. Carter; and also Beayleigh Nix.
