It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Doris Robertson Shepard (Byron, Georgia), who passed away on August 17, 2018, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Virgil Harold Shepard; her parents, William Gordon and Georgia Robertson; her son William Harold Shepard; and her sister Evelyn Jarman.
She is survived by: her children, Joann Edwards of Macon, Bonnie Collins (Howard) of Macon, Sharon Funderburk (Frank) of Byron, Mary Elizabeth Shepard of Byron and Robert Marion Shepard (Kathy) of Portland; and her brother William Gordon Robertson, Jr. (Charlene) of Ellijay, GA.. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Mercer University Tift College of Education, 1501 Mercer University Drive, Macon, GA 31207.
