He was predeceased by: his father Robert Lee Stephens. He is survived by: his wife Debra Pearce Stephens; his children, Brandi Williams and Todd Stephens (Myranda); his mother Mary Oxford Stephens; his stepchildren, Erin Collins (Jeramie) and Travis Prater (Jenny); and his sister Desiree Murray (Mike). He is also survived by seventeen grandchildren.
