He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Marsha Hancock Griffitts; his sons, Heath Griffitts (Deanne Williamson), Matthew Griffitts (Danielle) and Bryant Griffitts (Brandi); his grandchildren, Courtney Upchurch (Caleb), Hannah Griffitts (Kotie Patterson), Austin Griffitts, Ashlee Oropeza (José), Hunter Griffitts (Crystal), Michael Paul Griffitts, Christian Griffitts, Bradley Griffitts and Brandon Griffitts; his great grandchildren, Maeleigh Upchurch, Cohen Upchurch, Hensleigh Griffitts, Mason Oropeza and Ayden Griffitts; his mother Christine Thomason Griffitts; his sisters, Sharon Griffitts and Christie Griffitts (Mike Roman); his pets, Goofy and Dolly; and his father Paul Elliott Griffitts.

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital in memory of Dennis.
