She was predeceased by: her father Lester Giles; her husband Emmett Thomas Haywood; her children, Sheila Rowland and Wayne Erwin Haywood; her grandson Ben Rowland; her siblings, Otis Giles, Ima Johnson and Carolyn Giles; and her nieces and nephews, Cynthia "Cymp" Johnson Brannon, Teresa Giles Flanagan, David Giles and Richie Rowland.
She is survived by: her granddaughter Holly Haywood; her sister Joyce Rowland; her daughter-in-law Marcia Haywood; and her nieces and nephews, Gary Giles (Melissa), Johnny Johnson (Evelyn), Randall Johnson (Susan), Eric Rowland (Shanna), Don Rowland (Ginger), Brenda Alden (Tommy), Susan Oneal (Allen) and Walter Baldwin. She is also survived by two great grandchildren.
