He is survived by: his wife Penny McElheny; his son Clay McElheny (Mariharden); his granddaughters, Mariclay McElheny and Luciella McElheny; and his siblings, Nancy M. Pearson (Buck) and John Thomas McElheny Jr.. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
