He is survived by: his wife Marthel Hooker Gay; his children, Doug Gay (Heather Mathis) and Angela Sheffield (Mike); his grandchildren, Ally Taylor, Coleman Taylor, Amanda Davis (Weston), Aaliyah Rumney and Kyla Mathis; and his great grandchildren, Leighton Davis and Lautner Davis.
